Planning my next project involves a lot of variables, like coordinating models, the space being available and making sure I have the right composition to make the best use of time. Since it is taking some time before I can actually sit down and paint, I needed to get my painting zoomies out with this self-portrait.

This week I finished the underpainting for my self-portrait. Next I will add color, and I am so happy to see it come to life this way. ai am basically following this super traditional way that painters like William-Adolphe Bouguereau used. With each new painting/project I make I am so looking forward to apply all the knowledge and tricks my fellow fellows taught me. Like Jackson’s red glasses trick! Also, very useful since my studio has aaall the sun in the morning. Im either gonna need curtains or sunscreen.
