We spent the last weekend learning from Gustavo Remos. I love learning about artists process and how they approach painting. Thats one of the things I love the most about this program, everyone’s process is so different. Then you get to take each thing that resonates with you and apply it to your practice. We are all different. The way an artist sees the figure, their steps by steps to get there. It’s not just about the materials, which in this case was amazing to learn from and actually surprised me. I’ve been following Gustavo’s work for a while now and I was able to see things in person that is hard to see online. His thick impasto happens at the beginning which I was not expecting! I ended up the 3-day workshop at UW looking at the cherry blossoms. Chefs kiss!
