A new project that I’ve been starting with my talented and esteemed colleague, Daniel Zalla. After I taught him everything I know, I am excited to see his learning come to fruition. Together we will embark on a painting journey to incorporate similar elements but with potentially very different themes…. It’s been a tradition that extends past the 1600’s to share model(s) while coming up with entirely separate concepts and schemes. For this project we are building off of the idea to have a reclining figure (Adera) and later wanted to add more elements. Attempted to pose some energetic dogs in the studio and will now combine to create compelling narratives that come from inner workings of two painters; resulting in very varied approaches and takes on the same subject matter.
