I am currently in the composing process again for some new paintings. With this new venture I’d like to have a minimum of two paintings on the easel at a time. It’s a mental break and refresh to be able to see with fresh eyes. Shared here are the very early conceptions of a piece inspired by the ancient rituals of covenant (more to come on that). The idea is to have a vast expanse and a couple shapes to be isolated and in contrast to the landscape. Setting the stage for something solemn, with a touch of awe (that’s the goal) Beginning to attack and untangle logistics: I had the pleasure of meeting with Darron, a local butcher who is very willing and knowledgeable. He will be a contact and resource in the tangibility aspect of my references. Providing me with understanding of animal interiors and bones for paint from. I will be continuing on this sketch with different moods, colouring and lighting while staying constant to elemental placement for the most part. More to come soon;)
