Andrew Conru

Andrew Conru is an engineer, entrepreneur, artist, and philanthropist. He grew up on a ten-acre farm in northern Indiana, studied mechanical engineering and economics at Rose-Hulman, and earned a PhD at Stanford. He built some of the internet's first online dating, online shopping, and online advertising companies, along with more than 30 online communities serving hundreds of millions of members. He later returned to painting as a daily discipline, drawn to portraiture and the close, patient observation of real people.
